| From David's Desk... |

At CTSI, our number one priority is you, the client. As we continue to celebrate 25 years in business, I keep thinking about the things that have made a positive impact on our success. Regardless of where my thoughts lead me, I keep coming back to two integral parts of CTSI's business success: our mission statement and our shared values.
Our mission is to improve the life and business success of clients by providing integrated solutions and professional services to meet their technological and organization needs.
Most of you have seen the mission statement. What you may not have seen is our shared values. We created our list of shared values to provide guidance and freedom to CTSI employees in their efforts to meet our mission statement. I want to share these with you as part of my continued focus on striving to accommodate your every business technology need. Our shared values are as follows:
1. We must be sure that everything we do reflects exceptional levels of quality.
It might be hard to measure quality at times, but I believe quality in this instance means providing proactive solutions and prompt response to client needs. Also, no corners are cut just to get something completed or out the door.
2. We must show high integrity in all relationships.
Integrity was once described to me as what you do when no one is looking. Showing integrity reflects an organization that is honest, hardworking, and amiable.
3. We must be innovative in providing prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service to meet the needs of our clients.
We truly value your business and we are committed to not only giving you top-notch technology solutions, but providing them to you with outstanding support and a smile.
4. We must foster a close relationship with our clients that will result in a better understanding of what they are experiencing.
At CTSI, we like to build a rapport with your staff as well as have an understanding of your current technology assets, and your immediate and future needs. This allows us to present you with a master plan and cost-effective solutions that solve the problems you are facing.
5. We must encourage innovative, independent action, personal growth and team spirit in all employees.
If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. We encourage and promote professional and personal growth. With the rapid advancement of technology, our staff must be diligent in learning the ins and outs of new products. Additionally, we want well-rounded individuals that will serve as leaders in our community.
6. Everything we promise, we do.
As part of our commitment to being your trusted technology partner, we want to prove our trustworthiness to you. We want to be the most reliable teammate your business has at its side.
In sharing these with you, it is my sincere hope that first and foremost, you see CTSI team members carrying out our mission statement and shared values. Whether we interact with you through a personal office visit, a phone call, or e-mail, I want to see all CTSI staff meeting or exceeding your expectations. As such, I would like to know about exemplary efforts or shortcomings you may experience in dealing with us during the course of our business partnership. Through this process, you can help to ensure that CTSI will continue to provide unparalleled service for many years to come as your Trusted Technology Partner.
Until next time,

| Benefits of Smartphones in Business |
Falling under the category of mobile devices, today's consumer electronics serve multiple purposes. Years ago, cellular phones--also called cell phones or mobile phones--served one purpose only: they let you send and receive voice communications. Today, mobile phones and similar devices are equipped with customized software, Internet access, digital cameras, portable music players, GPS functions and many more options.
Once again technological advancements make common terminology such as mobile phone, Smartphone, PDA and PDA-phone difficult to decipher, as each type of device changes constantly and features traditionally belonging to one type of device are now found on others. Here we will explore the popular categories of mobile communication devices, their differences, as well as the benefits smartphones can provide.
What Is a Mobile Phone?
A mobile phone is more frequently called a cellular phone or cell phone. These communication devices connect to a wireless communications network through radio waves or satellite transmissions. Most mobile phones provide voice communications, Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Message Service (MMS), and newer phones may also provide Internet services such as Web browsing, instant messaging capabilities and e-mail.
What Is a PDA?
Short for Personal Digital Assistant, this is the name given to small handheld devices that combine computing, telephone/fax, Internet and networking features. A typical PDA can function as a cellular phone, fax sender, Web browser and personal organizer. These devices are usually pen-based, which requires the use of a stylus rather than a keyboard for input. PDAs today are available in either a stylus or keyboard version.
What Is a Smartphone?
A Smartphone is considered to be the combination of the traditional PDA and cellular phone, with a larger focus on the cellular phone aspect. These handheld devices integrate mobile phone capabilities with the more common features of a handheld computer or PDA. Smartphones allow users to store information, send e-mail, and install programs, along with using a mobile phone from one device. A Smartphone's features are usually more oriented towards mobile phone options than the PDA-like features. There is no industry standard for what defines a Smartphone, so any mobile device that has more than basic cell phone capabilities can actually be filed under the Smartphone category of devices.
The Benefits of Smartphones
Because greater functionality is built-in, Smartphones can do things much more quickly and effectively than their standard mobile phone and PDA precursors.
Keeping you organized - Smartphone handsets can function as personal organizers, with electronic diaries, contact lists, and automatic reminders.
Flexible working - as with a PDA, you can use your Smartphone to take notes, review and edit your appointments, contacts and documents--all while you're on the move.
Information at your fingertips - more and more services are being made available on Smartphones, from access to maps and directions to television broadcasts with news coverage or weather reports to traffic information and scheduling alerts - which means your business can always stay one step ahead of what's going on.
Never out of touch - you can connect to the internet for e-mail and web access "on the move"', or connect to your computer network to access relevant data wherever you are, making it easier for remote workers or a mobile workforce to stay in touch with the business.
Better information sharing - considerably more data can be received and transmitted via a Smartphone, such as large e-mail attachments or data files from websites. Previous mobile phones could only manage small e-mails without attachments.
Greater functionality - many models offer built-in digital cameras with immediate snap and send functionality, so remote workers or offsite staff can instantly photograph and send images or videos of anything from supplier's goods to site inspections or damaged warehouse machinery. Smartphones could offer you a new way of marketing to customers: Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) lets you include animation, graphics and music in a message.
Faster communication - web access is quicker than in previously available mobiles, making it easier to access e-mail and information from the Net. Some models and carriers offer an "always-on" Internet access service making connection easier.
